I am not a huge reader of poetry books but this story of Dyosphir and Ivalisee is an intriguing and captivating story. I had to really concentrate to read it as it is not my normal genre but I truly enjoyed the work and craftsmanship of Bruno A. Ribeiro. The story unfolds in a series of seventeen chapters with 35 stanzas in each one. The author even includes the rhyming scheme of each chapter at the conclusion of the book.
Another great addition to this book are the beautiful illustrations that are scattered throughout that add another visual dimension to the writing of Mr. Riberio. The writing of this epic piece was lovely and I felt somewhat refreshed while reading it - like I had discovered a new genre that had been hidden to me before.

This is such an incredibly unique book. I've not explored the realm of the modern epic in great depth, but in what I've read here I can confidently say that Ribeiro is a master of this style. I felt drawn to this narrative as if it were a favorite novel. The story never once got lost inside the verse, and the language throughout was simply lovely.
The style of the book felt familiar; it was very reminiscent of classic epics. I found myself reminded of Beowulf and The Odyssey. This is something I could see being added to English literature curriculums down the line. It was fit in perfectly. And yet the story felt so new and fresh that I remained sucked in from start to finish. Beautiful work from an incredibly talented poet!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to branch into new genres of poetry. It's both familiar and refreshing, and it would make an excellent addition to anyone's shelf

Dyosphir has a dream about a beautiful woman trapped in a cold desert, Ivalisee. He is powerfully drawn to her and goes on a quest almost fool heartedly. His servants go with him to keep him safe since this has happened before with disastrous results. But they don’t make it far and Dyosphir is left with the Creature, Thordskree, and the Child to accompany him. But people, places, and other challenges stand between him and Ivalisee. Will he make it to her?
I admit that I had a hard time with this book. I’m not really a poetry person but I try my best to give everything a chance. Dysophir dreams of Ivanalisee and rushes to save her from her prison. But Ivanalisee is in the Sphere of Utmore Dreams. Thankfully the Thordskree and the Child are there to help him in his quest. But the closer he gets to Ivanalisee, the more danger he puts himself and those that love him in.
The story flowed and had great rhythm. There are also beautiful drawings to accentuate the story. I think if you like poetry that you will enjoy this story. There is a lot of action with the adventure and a clear race against time.
